The Republic Clone Troopers were among the finest warriors in galactic history, and the tech they used matched their incredible fighting prowess. The Juggernauts in particular had many variations in both continuities and is one of several prime examples of how the Empire continued to use effective designs from their Democratic predecessor regime. As shown in both canon and the original Star Wars timeline, the Expanded Universe (aka Legends), much of the Republic’s armor, vehicles, and weapons from the Clone Wars were the basis of Imperial tech, but not all of the Imperial versions were superior. In The Mandalorian season 2, episode 7 “Chapter 15: The Believer,” Din Djarin and Migs Mayfeld hijack an Imperial Juggernaut, proving that the Empire has improved on some of the Republic’s prequel-era technology.
